Loreal Super Liner review

Wednesday, 18 February 2015

Anybody who knows me knows that I can never do liquid eyeliner, i dont know what it is but i always end up ruining it and i end up looking like a panda (literally). I love winged eyeliner but after many failed tries of using liquid eyeliner I opted for gel liners,  even with that I struggle at times, also because of my super oily eyelids my gel liner transfers into my brow bone and doesn't last a long time. So I decided to pick up the Loreal super liner even though I was sure I wouldn't be able to master it but surprisingly I did it!

- Swatches:

  • Right: Eyeliner swatch
  • Left: I literally took my finger and tried removing it without any makeup remover, look how easily it comes off! With that being said it doesn't mean that it doesn't last a long time, it does as long as you don't touch it.

- Applicator:

  • Okay what I like about this is that the applicator is not a fine tip as I usually find them very hard to work with because my hands always shake. It's flexible and even though it's not very thin you can still achieve the perfect wing.
- Finish:
  • The finish of this eyeliner is a shiny finish which I'm not usually a fan of but for how great the eyeliner is I don't really mind, it dries very quickly so make sure you work really fast otherwise when you go over it again the applicator removes the liner which you already applied before.
- Lasting power:
  • Lasts all day basically, it is not waterproof but it doesn't smudge when the weather is hot. So if you don't touch your eye all day if will stay put.
- Suitable for all skin types?
  • YES! It stays on my oily eyelids without smudging at all.
- Cost:
  • A$24.45
- Overall:
  • Great eyeliner which makes winged eyeliner so easy! What I also love about it is that it is easily removed without even needing a makeup remover.

Too faced primed and poreless powder

Monday, 2 February 2015

Okay so I was desperately on the hunt for a setting powder as uni is almost approaching and I'm gonna be spending lots of time outside the house in this heat. After reading a few reviews on the Too Faced primed and poreless  powder I rushed to Mecca Maxima and purchased it straight away.

- Colour:
  • This is a translucent loose powder. It has a slightly off white-yellow tint which is great as it can match many skin tones.

 - Application:
  • I apply this with a large powder brush all over my face. This can actually be used as both a primer AND a powder. It literally gives me the same results as when I use a primer so I've stopped using a primer and I use this then apply my foundation then powder my T zone. It's very finely milled and smooth and I found that it did not cling to any dry patches.

- Lasting power:
  • This really depends on the finish of the foundation you're wearing. I tried it with a very very dewy foundation and I found that I had to retouch a few times, which I don't mind. So if you're wearing a semi-matte foundation this would be great and you'll find that you don't have to retouch as much.
- Cost:
  • A$39
- Would I repurchase:
  • YES! This is definitely going in my uni bag.
